DAILY ME
school day driver/bodyguard to my youngest,19 years old-already an earthquake survivor (11 months old) and a budding doctor.and dad to my eldest- a newly-minted marketing graduate trying his hands at being an A-grade barista in one of those sleek coffee franchises.in hindsight, one nice thing about having to have kids early is the opportuniy the grow up with them that at this point of all our lives, i treat the 2 as like barkada(not when i have my moods though).we share more or less the same passion such as sleeping during out of town trips and of course doing the ultimate olympic sport-shopping where the 2 are not only gold medalists but hall of famers already,and me?-hole of famine -in the pockets.
run,gym,bike and motorcycle-riding.that’s what my daily grind looks like more or less.do the groceries, wash the dishes,mop and clean the floor and toilet.not exactly loving every moment of it but can’t complain now.
i have made my decision and chosen the path i intend to walk (and run) on for the rest of my earthly existence.
enough with do’s and don’ts.
let it be.

Hey, Jonel. This is the first time i was able to visit your blog and your road to fitness story is indeed inspiring. Serious question: would you consider sharing your story with a wider audience, in this case, the readers of Men’s Health magazine? I think that people can learn a lot from your dramatic turnaround story. Let me know how this sits with you next time we train at the Ultra… Cheers and keep on runnin’!

Sure, Jonel. And have a great time at the Death March run. I don’t need to wish you luck because it’s not a question whether you’ll finish or not, but how fast you’ll finish. =)
Cheers!
